As we transition into March, I find myself reflecting on the beauty and lessons each season brings. Winter’s quiet stillness offers moments of rest and reflection, while the first hints of spring fill the air with promise. I truly appreciate the rhythm of the seasons—how they shape our lives in unique ways. And now, with the anticipation of spring on the horizon, I feel a shift in energy, ready to embrace the growth that comes with this new chapter.
Each year, I choose a word that serves as a guiding light for my journey. For 2025, my word is pivot. In the spirit of this word, I’ve been reminded how life is full of unexpected turns—moments where we’re faced with the choice to adapt, adjust, and keep moving forward. It’s not always easy, but it’s essential. Whether you’re navigating challenges big or small, embracing the need to pivot, to brush yourself off and continue forward, is the key to growth. Change is inevitable, and it’s how we respond to it that shapes the direction we take.
With the close of 2024, we made a significant pivot of our own. We shifted our focus towards more local shopping experiences, which meant a bittersweet transition away from being weekly vendors at the Overland Park Farmers Market. It wasn’t an easy decision, as we’ve cherished the connections and sense of community that the market has brought us. But in the spirit of sustainability—both for our business and for my personal well-being—we realized that in order to continue growing and expanding in a meaningful way, we need to redirect our energy. We’re excited to channel that energy into new opportunities, new partnerships, and more ways to connect with our local community.

A second big change for our business this year is the expansion of our growing program to include a diverse variety of cut flowers, many of which are perfect for creating beautiful dried arrangements. We’re SO looking forward to offering more hands-on “creating” experiences, allowing you to get involved in the process. Plus, we’re planning some unique lavender culinary dining experiences—stay tuned for more details on that soon!
As we step into this new season, I’m excited to see what’s ahead. Spring, with its fresh starts and new beginnings, feels like the perfect time to embrace all the changes we’ve made and continue moving forward with optimism. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating this season of renewal, embracing your own pivots, and finding the beauty in every unexpected turn.
